The research activities of the 4MAT Department focus on inorganic materials. They cover the entire life-cycle of materials from
their synthesis and processing to the optimal management of their end of life going through the optimization of their
(micro)structures for a given application. This approach is mainly driven by the scarcity of resources that makes sustainable development a
priority.
