RaViS stands for "Real-time Accelerated VIew Synthesizer", which is the real-time version of RVS, the Reference View
Synthesizer software that has been originally developed by the LISA-VR team and is now integrated in the MPEG-I Visual software suite
for Free Viewpoint Navigation: any virtual viewpoint is obtained by interpolating a limited set of fixed camera views.
