Structure-function studies of secondary bacterial transporters, involved in multidrug resistance and the role of the lipidic environment on their activity.

Units : Structure and Function of Biological Membranes | ULB167

Description :

Secondary transporters that belong to the MFS (Major Facilitator Superfamily) represent a model of choice to decipher, at the
molecular level, the phenomenon of transmembrane transport, and also how the composition of the lipidic environment (i.e. presence of
specific lipids in the membrane) modulate their activity. Within the SFMB we focus on the multidrug transporter LmrP.
