Study of the properties and the regulation of ion channels

Units : Structure and Function of Biological Membranes | ULB167

Description :

Ion channels play a key role in energy and solute exchanges between cellular compartments and their environment. Moreover, they
are involved in numerous physiological processes essential to living organisms. We are interested in understanding the
structure-function relationship of ion channels as part of a broader interest in the processes governing the physiology of organelles (e.g.,
mitochondria), plant cell development and seed germination.
