Supersymmetry and non-perturbative aspects of gauge theories

Units : Theoretical and mathematical physics | ULB150

Description :

Supersymmetry appears to be a crucial element in theories which unify the fundamental interactions. Moreover, when applied to
gauge theories, supersymmetry allows to study their non-perturbative and strong coupling aspects, such as confinement and the
dynamical generation of a mass gap. Lastly, some gauge theories are ''holographically'' dual to string theories.
