Sleep(particularly sleep disturbances as sleep apnea syndrome or sleep restriction)are known or suspected to be related to
cardio-vascular diseases or cardiovascular risks.This project is common to the Sleep Laboratory and to the Laboratory of Experimental
Medecine.Two domeins are studied:firstly,we are relating clinical observations of sleep disturbances in the Sleep Laboratory and
biological markers of cardio--vascular risks studied with our original tools;secondly,we are studying experimentally the effects of
sleep restriction in healthy volunteers on the oxydative stress,and on the classical cardio-vascular risk factors;this experimental
part of our work is part of an EU project(www.sleep.fi).
